Centennial Mortgage is a privately held results-driven lender providing proactive, end-to-end solutions exclusively for multi-family and healthcare owners/developers seeking HUD and USDA financing. OUR HISTORY

How the Company Started

In 1975, Centennial Mortgage, Inc. was founded in Kansas City, Missouri and subsequently moved to South Bend, Indiana in 1986. From its inception Centennial has been providing capital through various U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) insurance programs. In the early 2000’s Centennial was awarded a license to participate in the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) insured loan programs including the 538 Multifamily program. This USDA license allows Centennial to provide premier service to all rural areas in addition to the traditional urban and suburban markets we have been serving for over forty-five years.

From the beginning Centennial has been owned and managed by people that have property development and ownership experience in addition to experience in banking and finance. This is still true today as Matthew Kane, the owner and President of Centennial, was originally a Centennial client who saw the advantages of financing projects utilizing the HUD insurance programs.  Mr. Kane’s experiences as both a mortgagor and mortgagee inform our internal processes and provide insight into Centennial’s well-earned reputation for making the HUD and USDA loan programs accessible for our developer/owner clients.
