PROJECT OVERVIEW
The Mission Mavens have been at it again! For the team at CMI, providing exceptional service to mission-oriented affordable housing organizations is just another day on the job.
Bellevue, Washington is a beautiful place to live, but unaffordable, especially for seniors. Catholic Housing Services lead by Jeanne Le Duc, the Director of Catholic Real Estate Initiatives made a commitment to preserve and enhance the housing for 50 households at Elbert House with a Mark Up to Market Section 8 contract renewal coupled with a HUD 221(d)4 loan to complete over $150,000 unit in rehabilitation.
In the face of many forces that delayed the project, the team involved was more than dedicated, they were determined. Mark Blubaugh of Bluebrook Architecture, Ryan Macintosh, Patrick Gill and Eliot Blum of Ryan General Contractors were a dream team. Ashley Barnard at CMS and Jennifer Reilly at HUD worked diligently on the Section 8 renewal. Alberto Rivera, CMI’s counsel at Krooth and Altman took us across the finish line. The Centennial Team of Sunny Fitzgerald, Cindy Ross, Sheryldene Rogers, Julie Ellithorpe, Jennifer Heckaman and Debbie Gray are grateful for the opportunity to serve and excited to see the finished product!
