Having had the honor of working with the Upper Shore Aging Housing Corporation (USAHC) on the preservation financing of 5 of their other 202 elderly housing projects, CMI was happy to assist the Executive Director Norman Davidson and the consultant Gates Kellet Dunaway on Perry Villa.
This 20-unit Section 202 project is a vital piece of the mission for USAHC, but due it small size it was a challenge to get done, especially given how busy the FHA industry is these days. But because the whole team, including Miner Feinstein Architects and Harper and Sons General Contractor had worked together previously the process was smooth.
We would also like to acknowledge the HUD Staff including the HUD Underwriter and Account Executive who gave this small project as much of their dedication as any other. With the Section 221d4 substantial rehab loan, the residents will have renovated units and a much-needed elevator will be added. We hope they will be proud to call Perry Villa home for many years to come.
